Motion measurement of the hand during playing tremolo on mandolin using an inertial sensor (Difference between tremolo by the wrist and by the elbow)

Tremolo is a technique to produce the same note continuously in short spans, and an important for musical performance on mandolin. However, it not easy beginners master this technique, nor even expert players perform wide range of expressions. There no unified view proper behavior tremolo playing, there are examples measured behavior. In study, we hand movements during playing One test subject was included study. We examined how those motions used strong/weak tones or fast/slow tremolos. The results showed that clear difference motion between using elbow. also suggested joint changed when adjusting volume speed. It indicated measurement sensors could be evaluate playing.
